Vita Free Tax Preparation Service

For the past decade, CBT College has participated in the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) programs to support the community with free tax preparation services. Both programs focus on helping low-to-moderate-income individuals, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and limited English speakers who generally make $57,000 or less in preparing their tax returns.

For Filling Season 2021, the IRS designated the CBT College Flagler Main Campus – located at 8230 W. Flagler Street, Miami, Florida 33144 – as the FSA (Facilitated Self Assistance) Stand Alone site for the VITA/TCE programs.

In this location, identified as CBT College Miami FSA, taxpayers will have the opportunity to self-prepare their federal and state tax returns using the MyFreeTaxes software. At the same time, certified volunteers will assist them with tax law questions.

The free tax preparation services will be provided by appointment only, Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12 and 3 pm at the Flagler Main Campus. Schedule your appointment today. Call (786) 693-8802 and prepare the required documents.

If you need more information, please send an email to Katherine Garrido, CBT College Miami FSA Site Administrator ( katherine.garrido@cbt.edu )
