COURSE OVERVIEW

The NCCER HVAC Level 1 course is the entry-level training program designed for individuals pursuing a career in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) industry. This course provides a comprehensive introduction to HVAC systems, safety procedures, trade tools, basic refrigeration principles, and electrical fundamentals specific to HVAC applications.

Through a combination of hands-on training and theoretical instruction, students will develop the foundational skills necessary to install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems. This course aligns with industry standards and prepares students for advanced training in residential, commercial, and industrial HVAC systems. Upon successful completion, students will receive the NCCER HVAC Level 1 certification, marking the first step toward becoming an HVAC technician.

This NCCER HVAC Level 1 course serves as the foundation for advancing into HVAC Level 2 and beyond, preparing students for careers as HVAC apprentices, service technicians, and installers in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

  • Understand Electrical Fundamentals for HVAC Systems
