(Miami, FL.) –- CBT Technology Institute, the Miami Dade County based technical and vocational school, hosted its 71st Commencement Ceremony at an event held at the Miami Dade Auditorium on Sunday, September 22, 2019.

“We celebrated not only our students but our community today, as we have graduated students with the necessary skills to enter our workforce and make an impact for our community,” said Monica Llerena, President/CEO, while highlighting that the College’s commitment for the past 30+ years has been to prepare and graduate students with the highest ethical, technical, and professional excellence that will help them build a better life for themselves, their families, and their community.

CBT Technology Institute has also embarked on a “refresher campaign” initiative that will reach out to alumni and current students not yet placed. This initiative will offer refresher classes or labs that may help these students launch or advance in their career, supporting them as they gain more confidence to find employment or a promotion, while keeping current the licenses and certifications they require to perform their careers in Miami Dade County.

“During my ceremonial address, I recognized our career placement services department as we have been able to achieve a 75% verified student job placement rate and we are looking to reach 80% by the end of October. We are very proud of our graduates, faculty, and student services teams for their support in achieving these benchmarks,” noted Llerena.
