    Admission Policy Requirements for CBT in Miami:

    The College of Business & Technology in Miami awards two separate programs to students: Associate in Science Degree Programs and a one year Diploma programs.Applicant for admission must:

    • Be a high school graduate or equivalent*
    • Complete an interview with a College Academic Counselor
    • Submit a completed Enrollment Agreement.

    * A written attestation may be submitted for Diploma Programas Only.

    Applicants who do not meet the above requirements may not be enrolled into the College of Business & Technology. We will consider the applicant's background, previous education or training, and attitude toward the learning of the career.

    Applicants may also take placement tests to determine if remedial courses should be taken. The remedial courses shall not be counted toward a degree.

    Transferring Credits:

    Section 1007.24(6), Florida Statutes (F.S.), states that “Nonpublic colleges and schools that are fully accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education…may participate in the statewide course numbering system.” Furthermore, Section 1007.24(7), F.S., guarantees the transfer of credit between all participating institutions:


    Any student who transfers among postsecondary institutions that are fully accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education and that participate in the statewide course numbering system shall be awarded credit by the receiving institution for courses satisfactorily completed by the student at the previous institutions. Credit shall be awarded if the courses are judged by the appropriate statewide course numbering system faculty committees representing school districts, public postsecondary educational institutions, and participating nonpublic postsecondary educational institutions to be academically equivalent to courses offered at the receiving institution, including equivalency of faculty credentials, regardless of the public or nonpublic control of the previous institution.

    If the student wishes to obtain their Associate in Science Degree during or after their Diploma Program, they may speak with a College Academic Counselor. In order to be able to transfer programs, the College must obtain a high school transcript for the Associate in Science Degree.
