    -State the testing, informed consent, confidentiality and disclosure requirements for healthcare providers in Florida.

    Course Description : An one hour seminar to update healthcare providers with current issues on HIV/AIDS.
    In addition to provide current AIDS statistics and drug therapy information, this course allows participants to discuss current issues of sex education, mandatory testing, confidentiality and more

    Course Content : -Introduction and Current Statistics
    -Update in HIV Test and Diagnosis
    -The latest AIDS Definitions
    -Infection control procedures
    -Update in Clinical Management and Treatment
    -Florida Omnibus AIDS Act

     

    Intended Audience : This seminar is directed for all healthworkers that have completed the initial HIV/AIDS course and need to renew the certificate.

     

    Course Methodology : Lecture and discussion will be used to present the latest update information about HIV/AIDS supplemented with videotapes
