    CPR– BLS - For Health Care Providers: The Basic Life Support seminar is designed to teach the skills of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) for victims of all ages ( including ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction ( FBAO).

     

    DV-02 - Domestic Violence: A one-hour Domestic Violence seminar is required by the Florida legislature for all healthcare providers during each licensure period. This medical seminar satisfies that requirement, and it will provide you with information on victim identification, procedures used to screen victims of domestic violence, methods, and resources used in counseling of domestic violence victims.

     
    HIV-HCE-02 - HIV/AIDS in the Health Care Environment: Topics include : HIV/AIDS definitions, modes of transmission, high risk groups, stages of HIV infection, testing and treatment for HIV, worldwide and US statistics, legal issues regarding HIV, confidentiality of the information, as well as the use of Universal Precautions, personal protective equipment, handwashing and other infection control procedures to prevent transmission of the virus.
     

    OSHA-02 - Occupational Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens: This medical seminar is designed to review the recommendations of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for infection control. This seminar is provided to help reduce the health risk to workers whose duties involve exposure to blood or other potentially hazardous materials.

     

    PME-03 - Preventing Medical Errors: This seminar is designed to meet the guidelines on the prevention of medical errors for healthcare providers. The seminar emphasizes the impact of medical errors; the prevention of error-prone situations; the responsibilities for reporting errors and more.

     

    PE-03 - Professional Ethics: This course has been designed to provide medical, nursing and allied professionals with an extended and intensive opportunity to review and update their approach to the analysis of “key medico-moral” issues with the help of leading authorities in the field of medical ethics.
    This course focuses on ethical theory, principles, and models for decision making that are most applicable for those who practice as healthcare professionals.

     

    HIPAA-04 - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act: The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) was enacted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to establish standards and requirements for the maintenance and transmission of health care information. The goal of HIPAA is to protect the security and confidentiality of electronic patient health information and cut the cost of print-based record transactions.
    Any organization that accesses, stores, maintains, or transmits patient-identifiable information is affected by the HIPAA legislation and is required by law to meet specified deadlines.

     

    AD-04 - Alzheimer's Disease: This course is designed to increase awareness and train all healthcare workers, specially nursing home staff about the special care needs of residents who have Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, this seminar focuses on defining and understanding the disease.

     

    HIV-UPT-04 - HIV/UPDATE: An one hour seminar to update healthcare providers with current issues on HIV/AIDS.
    In addition to provide current AIDS statistics and drug therapy information, this course allows participants to discuss current issues of sex education, mandatory testing, confidentiality and more.
